An Independent Contactor (IC) is a leasing professional that enters into a contract with TimePayment to generate volume from specific, large volume, micro-ticket dealers (not brokers).

Your Relationship with TimePayment

As an IC, your relationship with TimePayment is in many ways similar to that of a Business Development Manager (BDM) at TimePayment:

  • You sell with the TimePayment name
  • You are provided with most of TimePayment’s products and services
  • You submit vendor applications for approval directly to TimePayment
  • Your dealers are supported in the same manner as TimePayment BDM dealers with:
    • Access to TimePayment Direct
    • Training on TimePayment Direct, our lease process, and documentation
    • Access to Credit employees for transaction-related questions

Unlike a BDM, however, and more like a Broker, you can add capped commissions to the lease factors provided by TimePayment.

  • Avoid the processing costs of a traditional broker as your vendor’s activity flows directly to TimePayment
  • Leverage the strength of TimePayment by not selling as a local small lease broker
  • Remain independent so you can support your non micro-ticket transactions as a traditional broker
